Trend: Gingham/Bows
So I’m not sure if you noticed but I cannot stop using gingham fabric. This is the third gingham bag that I’ve made. Anyway, I didn’t want to bore your with yet another tutorial on gingham. Therefore, this week I took different photos of my latest project. I realized I don’t always explain how I finish a handbag with lining or with hardware. So this week you can see the ins and outs of one of my handbags. The bow might also look familiar (I show you how to make the same bow on “Project: Glitter Belt“) I hope my latest project can provide you fashion and craft lovers with some inspiration. Keep it crafty! 🙂

Trend: Boho
There’s something so freeing about wearing anything boho or hippy inspired during the spring and summer months. Weather you are at the beach or day dreaming about it, this is the perfect project for you! All I did here was add on some fun trim to a regular tank top. I really liked how this one came out, now I just need to plan a vacation to go with it! Let me know what you think in the comments. Happy sewing! 🙂

Trend: Glitter
In case you haven’t figured it out already, I’m a huge Kate Spade fan. This week’s tutorial was inspired by a Kate Spade belt I have been eyeing for years now. I never really thought I could validate the purchase of a $70 belt so I thought I might make something similar. It turned out to be super easy too! I got the belt at Target for $7 and the ribbon at a crafts store for $1. I used tacky glue here but feel free to sew or use a hot glue gun, whatever works! The whole project takes about 5 minutes so if you got the materials, you probably got the time. Hope you enjoy! 🙂
Trend:Gingham
I know I just made a tote using gingham but I just love this material! The hardest part of this tutorial might be finding the frame. You can usually find this sort of handbag hardware in the sewing section of your local crafts store. The trick to sewing any kind of frame on is to make sure there are holes in it for sewing. Let me know if you have any questions! Have fun and get creative! 🙂

Trend: Glamour
I’m not really sure “glamour” is a trend but I basically wanted to use an adjective for the word “shiny.” These headphones do feel pretty glamorous though! And in case you could not tell this tutorial is super easy. All you need are some headphones, rhinestones, and glue, pretty basic stuff. So get ready to walk around feeling absolutely fabulous while jamming to music! 🙂

Trend: Pastels
Get ready for another simple DIY! This one took me about 15 minutes. Perfect for spring, pastels are such a great way to welcome in the new weather! I showed a similar DIY in bracelet form a couple months ago (you can check that out here), I guess you can consider this the matching necklace. If you like jewelry and are a fan of easy crafting, I think you’ll enjoy this tutorial. Happy crafting! 🙂

Trend: Tropical
Get ready for an easy project! These little hair ties can add so much fun to an outfit. As long as you got the supplies, this should take you about five minutes. I love how springy these things are, and depending on how you style them they can look tropical, boho, or edgy…the choice is up to you! Happy crafting! 🙂

Trend: Gingham
Spring is finally here (at least it’s supposed to be)! Now is the time for spring trends and florals galore! One of my favorite trends this spring is gingham, it’s such a fresh pattern that can go with almost anything. I knew I wanted to make a black and white bag with a pop of color. After playing around with some different designs this is what I came up with. I should also tell you whenever I make a bag like this, it takes hours and a couple of days to make, I just don’t want you to think it happens so easily. So if you are ready for a lengthy sewing project, this might be the one for you! Also, if you have any questions about how I did anything, please let me know in the comments, happy sewing!:)
