Trend: Roses
I was both excited and confused when Shapeways first contacted me about their Fall Accessories Challenge. I should first explain that Shapeways is a 3-D printing company, thus my confusion. What exactly did this new and cool technology have to do with my DIY Fashion blog? Well a lot, apparently.
Shapeways allows you to upload your own designs; they then make your design a reality by printing them. It doesn’t stop there though; they actually sell your design on their site. It’s sort of like a technologically advanced Etsy. Not sure it could get much cooler than that. I’m sort of in DIY heaven.
Below is the Rose Metallic Bracelet I designed for the Fall Accessories Challenge. Hope you like it! Also, if you want to learn more about 3-D print design check out their website here. What do you think about 3-D printing and fashion? If you could design anything using this technology, what would it be? Happy designing!
