Project: DIY Face Mask

Trend: Glowy Skin

Hello fellow beauty nerds, this one is for you! I recently tried a new at-home face mask recipe that called for raw honey, turmeric, and milk.  What could go wrong?  What could right? Only time could tell!

As for results my skin looked glowy and smooth! Just a warning though, the turmeric did turn my face a bit orange and needed to be washed off a couple times. I also had to be careful about wiping my face and used an old towel since turmeric dye’s fabric! Overall I may try this mask again, but maybe not leave it on as long to avoid that whole orange-face thing.

Why these ingredients?

Raw Honey: In it’s most raw form, honey has more antioxidants than the regular honey we know and love.

Turmeric: Also an antioxidant that has a calming effect on the skin and reduces redness.

Milk: The lactic acid in milk is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that reduces wrinkles while also smoothing the skin.

Has anyone ever tried a DIY face mask like the one here?  What’s your favorite at home remedy? Keep in touch! 🙂

I haven’t tried any DIY masks because I’m worried about it going horribly wrong, but this mask seems like it had good results minus the orangeness from the turmeric!

    • Yes! It really is all very calming for the skin! And yeah the orangeness doesn’t last very long but it was a bit scary in the moment! Lol Let me know if you try it! 🙂

I have really sensitive skin so usually get a little nervous when it comes to making my own masks but this one sounds lovely! x
