 Has anyone ever heard of stemless wineglasses?  Apparently,  they are the new trendy glassware to have for the home.   In order to jazz them up a bit I thought I could do some metallic paint marker magic.  These paint markers were so amazingly  easy to use, I kind of wanted to paint everything. A few dots here, a few dots there, and this glass was looking fabulous!  I feel like this would be a great addition to any dinner party and can make drinking water (or wine) a lot more fun. Project: Gem Stone Charm Bracelet

I’m not really sure this is a trend, but I don’t think anyone needs an excuse to wear gem stones (even if they are fake).  I happen to come across these lovely charms in Michaels recently and knew I had to have them, the creative possibilities were endless!  This project took me about 10 minutes to make, I kid you not.  Anyone else a fan of charm bracelets?  They are kitschy and make jewelry more meaningful, especially when making your own.  Happy crafting! 🙂

  Now that it’s the beginning of 2016, new years resolutions are in full swing.  Getting motivated can be hard but these mood boards can definitely keep you going!  Mood boards, collages,  inspiration boards, whatever you want to call them, they are inspiring to see and fun to make!  What do you want to accomplish this year?  Maybe you want to travel more, eat healthier, dress a bit more stylishly, whatever your goals are be reminded in a positive way by creating your own mood board.  Do you have any new goals this year?  Obviously I would like to focus on fashion as per usual, happy crafting! 🙂

Ready for the countdown? New Years is just around the corner; With time running out, I thought I’d show you how to add some sparkle for those midnight moments.  There’s no better way to start a new year with a clean slate, maybe a resolution or two, and some sparkles and feathers! Feathers have been a fun trend that I have yet to take part in, that is until today. White Christmas Fashion

I have a confession, I’m sort of a sucker for all Christmas and holiday movies.  All the happy, cheesy, magical plots that aren’t even that detailed will probably entertain me.  As I was catching up on my December movie list, the fashions in “White Christmas” really stood out.  This is a classic from 1954, just a warning it is a musical (which I happen to love).  Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney (George Clooney’s Aunt) star in this fantastic feature. Project: Holiday Wristlet

I cannot lie; I love this time of year for all its sparkly cheesiness. The fashion becomes glitzy and glamorous as we get ready to welcome in a New Year and my design inspiration is at an all time high.  Below is the bag I will be wearing to New Years Eve, I’m not exactly sure what dress to wear but these are just minor details. Maybe its because I DIY handbags but I always thought accessories make the outfit. Add this bag to any plain black dress and some shiny jewelry and you are ready to go. Greetings fashion friends, I have a new jewelry tutorial for you. Beading and embroidery are on trend right now and make a great statement when added to an otherwise neutral outfit. This is a great piece to wear for all those holiday parties. It can also make a really cool gift for a friend. Project: Gold Knitted Scarf

Ready to feel all warm and cozy this winter?  Nothing will bundle you up more than a knitted scarf. Since Im determined to make almost anything I thought, let’s do this! They make great gifts for friends and family too.  Knitting is a pretty great skill to pick up, there is one basic stitch that you do over and over again leaving you with little to learn and plenty of time for practice.  This is also a great project for anyone new to the craft (it’s also the only thing I actually know how to make).  The first couple of stitches can be a bit tricky so I posted a how to video here.  Once that is done though you should be home free.  Have you ever knitted anything?  Happy crafting! 🙂

Project: Rose Metallic Bracelet

I was both excited and confused when Shapeways first contacted me about their Fall Accessories Challenge. I should first explain that Shapeways is a 3-D printing company, thus my confusion. What exactly did this new and cool technology have to do with my DIY Fashion blog? Well a lot, apparently.

Shapeways allows you to upload your own designs; they then make your design a reality by printing them. It doesn’t stop there though; they actually sell your design on their site. It’s sort of like a technologically advanced Etsy. Not sure it could get much cooler than that. I’m sort of in DIY heaven.

Below is the Rose Metallic Bracelet I designed for the Fall Accessories Challenge. Hope you like it!
