Project: Ombré Pillow

Trend: Ombré

I have been getting that feeling again, the feeling to tie-dye fabric!  I’m not sure you can relate but trust me it’s fun!   I wanted to do something a little different this time and see if I could pull off ombré. I have never done it before and it was actually way easier than I thought.  It’s all about light washes and dark washes.  I go into more detail below but trust me I think anyone can handle it!  The only thing you should be aware of is how messy this project can get. I recommend putting down a garbage bag on the floor, having some paper towels nearby or maybe even trying this outside or in a bathtub. Oh yeah and one more thing; my hands were sort of blue for three days after this project, so be careful and wear gloves. Have fun and get ready to get messy! 🙂

So pretty! The colour choice is perfect for Spring. I’ve never thought of making my own pillows. I’m constantly changing them with the seasons, so it would be fun to make my own.

The gift that keeps giving – use a pillow form for the inside, install a zipper instead of sewing it shut and… BAM – continue to give trendy pillow covers for years to come!!!
